Custom Gates and Entrances
A gate is the first thing a visitor touches. We design it to the property, specify every part of it, and see it through the trades who make it, so the finished entrance reads as one piece of work.
Every entrance starts with a site visit and a conversation about how the property is used: who comes and goes, what has to look right from the street, and what has to disappear. From there we draw the gate, the posts or piers, the operator placement and the safety devices together, as one design.
Fortis does not run a fabrication shop, and we think that is a strength. We work with ironworkers, woodworkers and masons whose work we know, and most clients prefer that we bring them in and manage them: we write the specification, coordinate the shop drawings, check the work and hold the schedule. If you already have a fabricator, mason or builder you trust, we are glad to work alongside them to the same drawings. Either way, our own technicians hang the gate, fit the operators and commission the entrance.
